Neptune Retrograde

 

Neptune is associated with intuition and spiritual enlightenment. As well, it is a planet of mercy and compassion. The ruler of Pisces and planet of inspiration, dreams, psychic receptivity, illusion and confusion.

 

So what does it mean and how does it affect us when Neptune goes into retrograde?

Overall and generally speaking, the Neptune RX will strip away false illusions, dreams and realities that have clouded your vision. If you have been living in a 'fantasy world' you may find that you get a harsh reality check. The things you have fought hard to avoid can present themselves to you. The further away from truth you have travelled, the bigger the shock can be. This reality check shouldn't distress you though! This should be a realisation that has always been there, in your higher self (as represented by Neptune).

This is a good time to ask yourself, 'Who am I?' The truth of who we really are has the power to set us free and evolve, or transcend to the next part of our journey in life. When we ask 'Who am I?' we question everything that has bought us to where we are today. We see into the conditioning of our lives, whether it be through our religions, lessons taught by our peers and families, what we watch in the news and what we choose to believe. Am I this way because of the thing that happened to me? - the answer is no, this is living in a victim state of mind. We are not what has happened to us, we have experienced, we have learnt, we have overcome. 

If we break these conditions, break the mould of who we think we are. We find freedom.

  

Neptune retrograde is the ideal time for spiritual self-development. Self-help books or therapy may help but other tools include meditation, Yoga, Tarot, swimming and a healthy toxin-free diet.
