Mercury Retrograde In Aquarius

Mercury goes into rx today in the sign of Aquarius and will stay there until February 20th.

Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo and is the planet of expression and communication. Mercury’s action is to take things apart and put them back together again. It is an opportunistic planet, decidedly unemotional and curious. It represents coordination. Thought processes, ideas, and sensory information from both conscious and unconscious. Mercury analyzes, sorts, groups and makes sense of things. How we handle nervous energy, express and convey our thoughts, approaching others and information in order to learn and exchange ideas.

The sign of Aquarius is forward-looking and growth-oriented. Concerned with equality and individual freedom, Aquarius seeks to dispense its knowledge, and its vision of equality and individuality, to all.

During this cycle communication can be tricky and might lead to us getting our wires crossed. As this shift happens it can be difficult to focus on the hard facts around us.

During this retrograde we will grow and adjust as this cycle goes on. Our thinking turns inward as we review and reassess matters, we can find the need to do things differently- especially related to communicating, negotiation, buying and selling, listening, formal contracts, documents, travel, the mail and shipping

During this cycle we will pay more attention to our finances, and seeing some details we may have missed recently. Seeing things from a new perspective can help us to recognise and reflect as we look at the world through new and different filters to explore and experience important revelations.

Things to focus on this is rx period:

Explore your inner awareness

Meditation

Journal

Rework old plans

Reflect on past work

Explore new ideas

Although this rx will not be one to hideaway from, there will be some slowdowns and delays. The Moon continues its transit of Leo, after which the Moon is in Virgo. The Virgo Moon harmonizes with Uranus and then Mars, encouraging our inventiveness.
